Thankful Thanksgiving

During this week leading up to Thanksgiving I’ve been thinking about everything that I’m thankful for.  We are so extremely blessed!  It’s so easy to look at the things that we don’t have and focus on those instead of reveling in all that God has given us.  So, as I look back over this year, here are the things that I’m most thankful for.

– My sweet husband.  Who is the perfect man for me.  He makes me feel better when I’m down, is always encouraging me, and is taking such good care of me while the baby bakes!  He makes me laugh and laughs at me (possibly more than I like!).  He is always there when I need something.
– Our precious baby.  This baby is truly a gift from God.  Something that we’ve been praying for and God blessed us at just the right time.  This baby makes me remember that God’s timing isn’t always my own.  I am so thankful that we are going to be blessed to be this child’s parents.
– My family.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents and grandparents and brothers.  It just could not get any better.  I’m thankful that we get to see them often and interact with everyone.  I will be even more thankful next year when I have tons of babysitters volunteering to babysit!  🙂
– Our friends.  We have been blessed with such great friends.  Friends that will pray for you and with you.  Friends that will be excited with you and scared with you.  Friends that are always up for lunch or a rousing game of Puerto Rico!  Thank you for putting up with us!
– Our sweet puppy Luca.  I know that most of the time when someone asks us how Luca is our reply is “Crazy.”  But it’s the truth!  He has so much energy and life about him that most of the time I get tired just watching him!  We can’t imagine what our life would be like without our puppy.  Ok, sometimes, I imagine what sleep would be like without a puppy sleeping thisclose to me, but I’m thinking he might outgrow that as momma keeps growing!
– Our house, our jobs, our cars, the ability to buy groceries and gas and all of that.  We are so thankful to have good jobs that pay for our needs and wants.  We know that everyone isn’t in this same fortunate position so we are so thankful for God providing us with exactly what we need!
– Mostly I’m thankful for our Lord.  For sending His Son to save us.  For willingly giving up what was most dear to Him for us.  What great love! What sacrifice!
I know that there’s more, tons more, but my tummy and Mo are starting to get distracted by the thought of a Thanksgiving feast.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Only 28 shopping days left until Christmas!!! 🙂

    Hey Jenn,

Well I have visited your famous blog and enjoyed it! I can tell you’ve put a lot of effort into the design, which is so pretty.

I’d like a Ruby Red clutch (or two) for Christmas, so perhaps you can give someone a hint for me (loved the peacock, white chrysanthemum and pink poppy designs the best, FYI!).

I can’t visit often, or I’ll become addicted, BUT will be checking to see if you “feature” any of the topics we discussed last night!

Oh, and I “voted” on the baby!

    Love,
    Candy
