Weekend Update!

We had such a fun weekend!

On Friday, Kelly, Tripp, and precious Caroline came over to get ready for the party.  We did lots of baking and having fun.  Caroline is sooo adorable! She is up on her hands and knees rocking and trying to crawl.  And she squeals in delight at everything! So much fun!
Jason and I spent the daytime on Saturday getting ready for the Christmas Party.  Jason was such a trooper and even went to Publix for me twice!  He should definitely receive an award for how sweet he was to me!
We had such fun at the party on Saturday night!  We had a great turnout and really enjoyed ourselves.  I hope that all of our guests had as much fun as we and Kelly and Tripp had! We had fun playing Dirty Santa with ornaments also. It’s always fun to see what gets stolen a lot and what doesn’t.  Sometimes the present that you think is the best no one else does and the present that you think is a dud gets stolen the max number of times!  Just as a preview to Recipe Wednesday here’s a picture of the cake that Kelly and I made for the party.  Yummmm, it was good! Mo and I might go get a piece right now! 🙂

Then, today we had Christmas with my dad’s side of the family.  We had a lot of fun discussing Auburn’s coaching hire and and a lot of other fun topics.  I got a great surprise when I opened one of my gifts from one of my aunt’s.  She got Kim Wheeler to do a painting for Baby Mo!  I started crying when I opened it.  It’s so sweet! I’m so excited about hanging it in Mo’s room!  It’s so much fun to get surprises that are wonderful and that you totally don’t expect! Thanks Phyllis for the wonderful gift and thanks Kim for painting such a neat painting!  I love it!  And it’s gender neutral so no matter what colors we end up going with the painting will match perfectly!
Now, I’m about to get my post for BooMama’s Christmas Tour of Homes ready.  Be looking for that in the morning! And you definitely don’t want to miss the cake recipe on Wednesday!
