Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy,
I’ve rewritten this birthday post several times trying to get across just I want to say. However, I’m not sure that I’m going to be able to convey my thoughts appropriately no matter how many times that I try!
Thank you for always letting me know that you love me. And for letting me know that I can make mistakes because you’ve already made your fair share. 🙂
Thank you for always keeping your promises. Even when it meant planning a trip to Disney in a few weeks because you forgot your promise to your children that you would take them before the end of the year.
Thank you for teaching me that if you want something in life you have to work hard for it. That you should always give your commitments your best effort and that you will be rewarded for that effort.
Thank you for encouraging me to do what’s best for me and my family. I’ve always appreciated how you told me that I would be a great CEO one day but that I would also make a great mother.
Thank you for showing me that titles and positions aren’t as important as how you treat people and maintaining relationships with people who knew you when.
Thank you for showing me, throughout my life, how your family should come first. Even when it meant that you had to tee off at 6 AM in order to get to the pool when it opened to play with us.
You are a lot of things to a lot of people. I am so proud to be your daughter. Not for who you are in the world, but for who you have always been at home. Thank you for teaching me so many important life lessons and for loving me throughout all the good and bad.
I love you Daddy! Happy Birthday!
love Jenn
