Pasadena, here we come!

This weekend we went to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.  This was our second trip in two years for this game against Florida.  Last year we went home with a bitter taste in our mouth after not being able to pull out the win and this year we were, honestly, pretty confident with our team.  It seemed all week that everything was lining up perfectly for us to reclaim our position at the top of the conference.

Our game day started with a reception downstairs at our hotel.  We enjoyed some mini-hamburgers and carrot cake mini cupcakes before heading off to the game.

(You’ll notice the red roses as the centerpiece.  All the tables didn’t have red roses so we weren’t counting our chickens before they hatched but at the end of the game we wished we had brought a rose to throw onto the field!  My parents were at the SEC Championship game in ’91 before we went to the Sugar Bowl to win the National Championship and they threw sugar cubes on the field after we won the SEC Championship!)
Charlotte with Miss Lindsey.
My friend Lindsey was sweet enough to come to our hotel and keep Charlotte during the game.  I know that Charlotte had so much fun with Miss Lindsey!
After the reception we went to the game.  The best thing about the game was that there was no drama like our last game and no contentious calls.  There is literally no way for Florida to complain about how we beat them because we beat them fair and square! From the first kick we played like champions and it was amazing!  Games like that are so much fun!

Our cousins sat behind us.  They were so excited for the team and for Greg.
Sweet victory! Pasadena here we come!
We had so much fun at the game!  Rammer Jammer has never tasted so sweet! Now we are so excited about the trip to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.  Jason and, of course, Charlotte have never been to California so the trip itself will be fun and the game will be the cherry on top!
All I can say is…..ROLL TIDE ROLL!

ROLL TIDE! So glad I was able to play with Miss Charlotte during the game. She was really a great baby. Enjoy the holidays…and maybe we’ll run into each other in PASADENA!
