March happenings

It seems like the theme of the start of March for Charlotte was “I’m es-sausted!”  I was beginning to get a little worried about her, especially since she was cold all of the time (honestly, I was too at this point because it was too warm to run the heat but the house was still a tad chilly without it).  That is until I tried to take a picture to send to Jason with a “what do we need to do” text and C caught me and flashed me a grin.  I figure if she can pose for impromptu pictures with her mama-razzi Mom then she’s probably ok!

Jamesy was happy to be up on his six month birthday!

Charlotte refused to take off her purple dress after pictures with Mrs Erin.  She kept saying that she wanted to wear it “all day long!”  So we just added some boots and a coat to head out for ice cream!

It cracks me up that almost as soon as we get to my parents house she’ll ask to watch one of two things. The football game (i.e. the National Championship game from January) or the dog show.  It’s hilarious how into the game she gets even though she’s seen it many, many, MANY times!  She gets upset when Marquis gets hurt and gets upset but always reassures us that he gets happy in the end.  And she feels bad for “the sad boys” (i.e. LSU) for the entire game.  Maybe it is better to only watch the game once the ending has been determined!

Charlotte loves her cowboy boots but early in the month when I left mine out in the main part of the house for a few days we realized that she loves MY boots too!  It’s hilarious to see her try and walk around the house in them but she doesn’t like taking them off once she gets them on!

You can see that Charlotte also loves her boots!

AND she LOVED her Minnie jammies the first night that it was warm enough to wear them!

One afternoon we went on a walk and put James’ Alabama hat on him to try and keep the sun out of his face when the shade wasn’t helping.  When we got back home we realized that the hat wasn’t helping too much since it got turned sideways!

Our happy boy on his six month birthday.  Can you see how light his hair is?!? In certain lights it looks reddish and in others just a very light brown.  It will be interesting to see what its final color is!

Charlotte got her first bowl of cereal with milk this month and she loved it!  She ate it without getting messy too!

Charlotte is all about reading her Bible right now which we couldn’t love more.  She is so sweet flipping through the pages and telling us about Jesus.  She’s a little confused about the Jonah story but, honestly, it sounds pretty far fetched to me so I’m sure it’s crazy for her!

Even though this picture has been enhanced with Instagram, his eyes are almost that blue in real life!
