We had a pretty relaxing Fourth of July. We decided not to do the neighborhood parade this year since it coincided with James’ nap time and he wasn’t sleeping well at the time trying to cut his top teeth. So we relaxed at home and then headed to the pool after naps. That turned out to be a bust since it thundered about 30 seconds after we all four got into the pool! It’s pretty miserable to get everyone sun screened up and wet in the pool just to have to get out!
But we took James home and got ourselves cleaned up and Charlotte went to Memma and Papa’s for a bath. Once we were all clean we enjoyed dinner and homemade ice cream! We’re hoping that next year we’ll be able to stay up for fireworks but this year it just wasn’t worth the drama that would have been added to bedtime!
