Construction Chronicles – First Floor is Up!

This was a HUGE week in that the first floor was framed and the second floor floor system was installed as well as a few rooms on that floor.  It’s so much fun to be able to walk through the actual rooms and not just imagine them on the plans.  We love the layout and have only come up with one idea that we hadn’t thought about and are thinking about implementing.  The framers were long days last week to get so much done and we’re glad that they did since it looks like it’s going to be rainy this week.

I’m posting the weekly pictures in this format because that way I can make a book with all of them in order and they’ll all be in the same format.  But Jason said that the pictures are hard to see so I thought I’d post some normal size pictures this week since there’s actually something to see!

Charlotte is loving her lot boots and loving seeing the house “in the flesh”.  She’s a girl on a mission but we’re keeping close reign on her what with all the nails around.

I’m so excited!

View from the front door looking off of the mountain.  It’s hard to convey the scene from this picture but it’s a great view.  The one from Charlotte’s bedroom is going to be even better!

Oh wow!! I can’t believe they already have the first floor up. This is so fun! I feel like I’m watching an episode of HGTV…except it’s better because I know the sweet family!
