The Friday before Christmas, Jason and I got invited to The Grinch Party. This annual tradition was started when I was 11 and this was our first “formal” invitation so we wanted to make it. We thought that it would be a great time to remind Charlotte how much fun spending the night with KayKay and GrandDavid is before our trip to Miami. So I took them to Kay and David’s Friday afternoon and Jason and I relaxed and enjoyed some “time off”.
On Saturday, we headed over around lunch time for the family Christmas celebration. Kevin and Stefanie arrived right after we got the kids up for nap and we opened presents soon after since Charlotte was on pins and needles waiting on her first presents!

Charlotte loved showing Daddy her very first Barbie, the Alabama cheerleader one!
Uncle Kevin showed Charlotte a “tricky” way to look through her kaleidoscope by pointing it at the Christmas lights on the tree
James had a blast pushing his dump truck around the house and Charlotte had fun “chasing” him with the pull along alligator!

We are very excited about Kevin and Stefanie’s upcoming wedding! Charlotte has an almost nightly wedding in her bed after we put her to sleep in preparation!
What a great start to our Christmas festivities. Getting to spend quality time with our families is wonderful and we are so blessed that we all live so close that we can get together fairly regularly!
