Charlotte

Oodles and Oodles of Circus Poodles!

Charlotte started dance this year and couldn’t have been more excited.  She loved her teachers and was always excited to go to dance on Monday’s.  She was especially excited when she found out that she was going to get to be a poodle in her end of year recital.  She worked really hard to learn her dance and was so excited about dancing on the big stage.

There was a little snafu at dress rehearsal (as in, she stood on the stage crying the whole time), but by the time the actual recital came around she assured us that she was going to dance.  And wonder of wonders, the curtain opened and there was our beautiful poodle with a huge smile on her face!  She did every move of the dance to perfection and had a ball!  We were so proud of her and are waiting anxiously for the dvd of recital to come in so that we can watch her on tv!

Before rectial.  The neck of her costume itched (honestly, the whole thing did, of course) and so she didn’t want me to secure it until the very last second.  She was a little nervous at this point but still saying confidently that she was going to dance.

Charlotte cheered up mightily when “MyMary” (as she calls her) got to recital.  Charlotte literally ran and tackled Mary and couldn’t smile big enough when she was with her!  (If you’ve checked out the Inspire cards in the Etsy shop, this is the Mary that half of the proceeds are going to support!)

I managed to cajole her into a picture with me, but she was too nervous to take any with anyone else.  And since she took her costume off as soon as she finished dancing (she was the first dance in recital) we didn’t get any pictures with anyone else.

We did get one with her and cousin Abby though which is wonderful!  Abby sets such a good example for Charlotte and Charlotte loved getting to be in recital with Abby!

Charlotte was given lots of flowers by her adoring fans and I wanted to make sure that we remembered them!  She had so much family in attendance to watch her make her dance debut!  She is a very blessed little girl!
