Better late than never I guess! The Christmas Tour of Homes was last week on numerous blogs but I couldn’t get my act together in time to join in on the day it went up. So I’ll invite you to our home today! Grab a cup of hot chocolate or mulling spices to sip on and welcome!
Come on in! After our we had two real tree’s fall a few years ago (after they were lit and decorated!) we went with an artificial tree and I’m so glad that we did. We put it up EARLY and have gotten to enjoy it for a while! And no worries about remembering to water it which is good in this family, because keeping plants alive is the last thing on our minds these days!
Come on in to our dining room just off the entry.
The table looks very similar to last year but I still love it!
And across the entry is the study which was set up for our Christmas party. This year we put up a smaller artificial tree that we inherited from Mom and Dad. It has ornaments that aren’t breakable and Charlotte considers it her tree. It’s a little bottom heavy due to her decorating but I love it!
And I love our angel on that tree. My great grandmother (Memma’s Papa’s Mom, Granny) made that for me when I was little. It’s so neat to get to use it!
Walk through the butler’s pantry and check out our modified door chalkboard. I got it this summer (thanks Mom!) and love it!
Our kitchen is pretty plainly decorated but I love what’s in it!
Our nativity that we picked up in Mexico on our honeymoon…
And pictures of the family!
There’s another nativity in the keeping room
And Frisbee our Elf keeping watch from the bookcase reading the Christmas story!
Then head in to the den where the majority of our decorations are in the shelves!
Granny also made this and Charlotte loves playing with it!
Charlotte also has a tree but it’s the same as last year and she’s asleep so no pictures. Poor James didn’t get a tree in his room this year because I ran out of time and couldn’t find the right size one. Hopefully I can pick one up after Christmas so that he’ll have one next year!
Hope you enjoyed the tour! We hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
