Charlotte

Happy Thanksgiving!

Because of the move of the Alabama/Auburn game to the Friday after Thanksgiving our past two Thanksgiving’s have been kind of hodge podge.  Due to nap times and conflicting travel schedules we didn’t do Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday and just went ahead and got down to Tuscaloosa.  By the time Charlotte woke up from her nap and had a bath Memma, Papa G, and Char-Char were there and ready to show C her new toy — a bowling set!

Charlotte loved the bowling but preferred to just throw the ball around and to knock down the pins with her arms.  But as soon as she knocked them down she was ready for someone to put them back up! She did get the hang of setting them up herself though by the end of the afternoon.  They were, of course, in a straight line — there’s no escaping the fact that both of her parents are engineers! 🙂

She then had fun helping Memma with food preparation.  I think she felt like such a big girl getting to sit on the counter and help move the cans around!

We then enjoyed a nice dinner just the six of us.  We had great food (including the Pioneer Woman’s sweet potatoes which were really good and I don’t even like sweet potatoes!) and even better company.  It was a wonderful, low key Thanksgiving!
