If you know anything about Charlotte you know that she loves animals. She doesn’t really care much about baby dolls but sleeps with a bed FULL of animals. For her first Christmas Granddaddy got Charlotte big Melissa and Doug stuffed dog. Back then she was kind of scared of him — he was bigger than she was after all — and Luca was definitely scared of him so he went into the closet for a few months. But then as she neared her first birthday we brought him out and christened him “Whitey” due to his color.
Over the past year and a half Charlotte has fallen in love with Whitey even though he’s strictly a downstairs dog and not allowed upstairs. Since she can’t sleep with him Whitey has to get his hugs in during the day time and last week before school Charlotte sat down and started hugging him and talking to him. As soon as I saw her I grabbed my camera and asked her to hug him for me. These are the pictures I got.
She wanted to take pictures with me after taking pictures with Whitey so we held the camera out and I asked her to smile….
