By the second week of school, most in our area were suffering with allergies. When I called the pediatrician to ask if I could give Charlotte anything she said that I was already the fourth Mom to call that morning…and it was only 10 am! So with our runny noses and exhaustion from two weeks of school, I decided one afternoon that we needed to get out of the house and change up our routine.
So we got in the car and headed to a nearby playground. James spent the majority of the time in the stroller with his snacks watching Sissy. He was happy to just be out of the house!
And this little girl was excited to get to play on the playground at school AND that afternoon! I was amazed at her increased independence after only two weeks of school. She was happy doing so much more by herself than she was the last time we went to the park before school started!
We’re looking forward to more afternoons at the park as the days get cooler!
