Another weekend, another trip to T-Town

This school year is cracking me up because I’m hearing a lot about Charlotte in carpool line while I wait to pick her up.  It appears that she talks about T-town A LOT and is always especially excited about it when we’re heading there that weekend.  So she was very excited last week when we picked Jason up at lunchtime and hit the road to Tuscaloosa.

We had plans to go out to eat that evening since we were getting into town early, but with two kids having been in their car seats for a while we decided to take the easy way out and pick up Full Moon.  Plus, we were really craving it and wanted to support their new building since their last was blown away by the tornadoes.

Saturday dragged a little since the game wasn’t until 8:15 PM!  I don’t even understand how that time is a valid game time but that meant that our family of four wasn’t going to make it to the game.  We headed out to the quad that afternoon though to let Charlotte see the excitement.  She said that she wanted to go down the big bouncy slide but after climbing halfway up she decided she didn’t want to.  We were very proud of her for just trying it by herself! She’s looking forward to Sam and Abby going with her the next time we’re in town!

We then headed over to The Gorgas House for a The XXXI alumni reception.  It was great getting to see Mrs. Megan for the first time since she was a Mrs. and to catch up with Miss Lindsey!

After dinner at the Mansion we took the kids back to the condo and got them to bed in time for us to enjoy the game from start to finish.  Well, Jason enjoyed it from start to finish.  When I saw that it was already TEN O’CLOCK and it was only halftime I gave up and went to sleep! Here’s hoping that we never have another kick after 8PM!
