Atlanta Bound!

This weekend was our last in Tuscaloosa until Charlie’s graduation in December and what a weekend it was!

We had a full house with my aunt, uncle, and cousins in town and we had fun. It was the most perfect football game day that I can remember in a long time. Crystal clear blue skies. Temperatures that were hot when you walked fast across campus in order to meet someone on time but not too warm and not too cool when you were just enjoying the day. And best of all, we ended the day with a W and a trip back to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game in December!

Sam and Abby (our cousins), Scott (our uncle), and Charlotte before the game
This is the first time Scott has held Charlotte since the hospital when she was born!

We met my college roommate, Savannah, at the Alpha Chi house before the game. Sadly, we didn’t get to meet her son Dalton.

Once I do some editing this should be the Christmas card picture for Mom and Dad. You see what a beautiful day it was!! Lunch was wonderful!

Charlotte was such a trooper during the game! She took a nap and then ate her first bottle good. Then she played for a while (she loves that there’s a tv near us that she can watch during the game!) and took another nap. She was good enough that we got to stay for the whole game and she finished her second bottle right as Rammer Jammer was starting! We are so glad that she does so good at games. Hopefully she’ll do just as well in Atlanta!

Mom and Dad after the game

After the game Dad got Sam and Abby onto the field and they got to walk around. I think they enjoyed it! I know that Charlotte’s Daddy was wishing that he was still young enough to go! 🙂
This was our last game in Tuscaloosa this year since Charlotte’s dedication is the same weekend at the UT Chattanooga game and we’ll be busy preparing for that in two weeks. It’s always a little bittersweet to see the home season ending. It makes it easier when you know you will have games post season and we are also going down to the Auburn game so the season isn’t really over but there’s something about home football games. Being in your own city on your own campus celebrating with fans that are almost all cheering for the same team you are is a unique experience. By the end of the season I’m always worn out because we are gone almost every weekend but I know that by — say — March I’ll be more than ready to hear “This is ALABAMA Football!” again. Next year will be fun with the expansion completed and a new Zone opening. But this home season has had a lot of fun firsts. It has definitely been a home season to remember! Thanks Mom and Dad for making it so great!
Now, we’ll just hope that the post-season is as fulfilling as the home season has been for us! 🙂

It’ has been a wonderful football season…hoping that the next few weeks continue to provide just as much fun. I could do without the heart attack endings though. Once again…super cute pictures.
