Charlotte, Christmas, Family

On the first snowed in day of Christmas…. (part two)

Once we had opened presents and Charlotte went down for her nap, Charlie, Jason, and I suited up and headed out to enjoy the snow.  Jason and I were very thankful that my parents were willing to be the grown-up’s and allow us to be kids for a few hours!

We started out with a picture next to our snowman.  We added a scarf to him after we were embarrassed about the quality of our snowman versus the neighbors snowman which was fully decked out with a top hat, eyes, nose, mouth, scarf, buttons, etc.  Our jealousy of their snowman did turn into indignation though on Sunday when we went up to their snowman and noticed that he was propped up in the back! Ours, obviously, was held up with only God-made materials!

Russell and Kyle had done this to a tree so I thought I wanted to try it! It was actually pretty fun to have all that snow falling on me!

One of my favorite pictures of us that day.  The snow was beautiful and we were just outside having fun!

Sibling picture! Notice how deep the snow is! It’s about half way up my calves!

The neighborhood kids! 🙂
Once we got home and got warmed up Charlotte woke up and she was all about reading her new books!

Memma and Charlotte had fun making the quiet cricket chirp!

C then took “Llama Llama Holiday Drama” to Char-Char to read! It was funny hearing him read about drama but he was so sweet and didn’t even seem to mind taking a break from football/basketball watching to read!

We ended the night with a wonderful meal of steak and Napa Pasta which was so good!  While this Christmas was definitely different than any we’ve ever had and we had to miss all of the family activities with Jason’s family, we had such a wonderful time playing in the snow!
