We are so blessed to have parents who live so close to us and who help us so much. We could not do this parenting thing without our parents. Not only have they taught us well about what it means to be a loving and kind parent, but they also continue to show us how to be a great parent by their sacrifice and help daily.
Our parents have always loved us but also set boundaries around our lives which, I feel, has helped us become the adults that we are today. We never felt like their love was conditional which gave us such security. We hope that we are teaching our kids the same way that they taught us!
And we love the things that they teach our kids that we can’t or haven’t yet. New songs, new places, funny words, new activities….the list is endless. The amount of time that they invest in our kids lives and ours is amazing and we are so thankful for them.
Thank you Mom, Dad, Kay, and David, for all that you did for us growing up and all that you do for us now. We can never repay you but, now that we’re parents, we’re beginning to understand how much you love us and how your love and help is still not conditional. We are so glad that you get to be our children’s grandparents! We love you!
